Honestly, all through watching this I was thinking, these subtitles seem wrong.
It was actually the constant use of 'sir' and 'jerk', and an distinct lack of swear words. I really wish americans would stop amerianising and censoring film and TV from other countries. Dubbed anime is unwatchable. Ghost in The Shell is a prime example. Just translate and leave it at that. Some things are part of the plot.
It's adorable that you're "explaining " nuances of Korean culture and caption inaccuracies in the film when you can't even pronounce the names properly. 🤣🤣🤣😘
I couldn’t bother watching the Sub originally so I started watching it with Dub I found the voice acting a bit odd and switched it to see if it sounded better and It does. The performances of the actors has such a different impact especially in those final important scenes. If your considering it I do highly recommend to watch it in Sub this is coming from someone who will choose Dub over anything else in most scenarios. 🙂
The acting makes her look like a crazy person instead of a tough gangster. The dialogue doesn’t change that, really. And that’s not to say the acting is bad; I’m just not convinced the character is written as a ‘tough gangster.’
The "Never got a chance to study" is also illustrating how she would likely have been prosperous if she was awarded the same opportunities as very wealthy people.
As a Korean I can agree this isn't bad translate -_- it's literally just how it is that's why we are suprised when a Korean song actually flows in english
The first step to fixing a problem is to recognize it, and many people to not realize the massive problem of shitty translators. From just straight up bad translations, to ones that inject translations with unfitting western culture, to ones that purposefully make poor translations with peculiar terms in order to spite those that they don't like.

See how many mistakes they make when they try captioning gibberish. You know, Gaelic?
This is why you always watch in the original and just read the goddamn subtitles
😨😰😱

Wow
I am glad at least some other dubs (Czech for example) got her right.
I know a little of Korean so I was so confused at the subtitles
Typical netflix subs Imo. Have you seen komi san? They butchered it so much FANSUBS were better at actually making the show understandable
poor girl, the subtitles made it cringe

Squidgame: I'm the best series in Netflix

I love a scene from Squid game when han-mi neyo called gi-hun "hey handsome"😂😂
I always had a feeling the caps seemed off. Like alot of it was being censored/ not translated properly
Tony montana 🤣🤣💎
So even neflix successes are ruined by censoring
They shouldve just made the subtitles daddy instead of old man
Welcome to rest of the world
